Series 211 of record group 58-17 consists of a map and field notes of Torch Lake and Otsego State Road, as surveyed in 1869 by Cephas Smith, and originally collected by the Michigan Lands Division. The road starts in Otsego (T.29 N., R.1 W.) west to Torch Lake in Antrim County (T.29 N., R.8 W.). Shows marshes, swamps, hills, Torch Lake, Grass Lake, and Clan Lake. The field notes are very comprehensive. The map is 13 1/2" x 17" in size.
